20140302: Upper Junkyards (Canmore)

Anna, Brian, Makoto and I took a private class with Pat Delaney from Yamnuska Mountain Adventures. It was a good opportunity to practice some skills and technique in -31C! Cold cold morning. Footwork, one tool climbing, exaggerating narrow tool placement, wide and angled off balance placement around bulges, rest techniques (the gazillion squats drill).

I have to say, I’ve a newfound appreciation for the beauty of the Upper Junkyards. It’s gorgeous in the snow and ice.

Awesome dinner of seafood fajitas at Aroma Café, my favorite Mexican place in Canmore. Phew, long day…
