20180722: SlabLife (Mount Kidd North Peak, Kananaskis)

10km, 6hrs, 1400m elevation gain

Trailhead: Galatea

“I’m surprised there’s such a good trail all the way up,” said Joanna.

“Slablife” said Tory.

“Where’d you pick up all this lingo??” wondered Joanna.

“Killer,” said Arielle about my magenta Patagonia pants and possibly about my matching magenta Nike bra.

“Barney colours. I say that in the best possible way.” said Tory, when I put on my bright yellow puffy.

“We should do some summits as a girls team,” said Arielle.

We talked about goals. We talked about men. We talked about running training. We talked about goals some more.

Ryan was way ahead of us and said nothing.

Ascent/descent gully is obvious; just follow the eastern trail. Views of Kananaskis Village from the summit. And Tory managing the slab like a champ.
